ČmáranicePrivacy Policy
Čmáranice is a small Czech app for daily drawing with friends. We have no server of our own, we use no ads or analytics tools, and we don’t track anyone. Here is exactly what happens to your data.
What the app stores
- Drawings and how they were made (the image and strokes for replay), the date and the prompt.
- Nickname and avatar you choose yourself.
- Stamps, comments, likes and reports you give or receive in a crew.
- Settings – shavings and items bought in the Stationery shop, theme, reminders, muted crews and blocked users.
We don’t ask for your name, e-mail, phone number, location, contacts or access to your photos.
Where data is stored
Everything is stored on your device and in your iCloud account (Apple’s CloudKit service). Only your Apple ID can access the private part of iCloud – we, the app’s authors, can’t see your drawings or settings. Data in iCloud is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
Sharing in a crew
When you create or join a crew, your nickname, avatar, drawings from the day you joined, stamps and comments are shared with the other crew members via iCloud sharing. Only members of that crew can see them.
The big crew Čmáranice official
Anyone can join the big crew Čmáranice official from the app. If you join and leave “Send my drawings here” turned on, your daily drawing together with your nickname and avatar is stored in the app’s public iCloud database (CloudKit) and everyone in the big crew can see it. The same goes for the stamps you give there. Drawings are shown for about a week. You can turn sending off at any time – this deletes your drawings from the big crew. There are no leaderboards or comments.
Notifications
Reminders and crew notifications are created by the app right on your device. So the app knows about new drawings, iCloud sends silent notifications about changes in the crew – without the content of the drawings.
Purchases
The Čmáranice+ subscription is handled by the App Store. We never see your payment details – the app only learns from the App Store whether your subscription is active.
Safety and inappropriate content
Your own crews are invite-only. Comments pass through a profanity filter. Every drawing, comment and crew can be reported to the crew founder, who can delete it, and anyone can be blocked – you then won’t see their content anywhere. In the big crew Čmáranice official every drawing can be reported; after several reports it is hidden automatically, and we delete inappropriate content.
Deleting data
- When you leave a crew, others stop seeing your future drawings. The founder can delete the whole crew – it disappears for everyone.
- Leaving the big crew or turning off sending deletes your drawings from the public iCloud database.
- Deleting the app removes data from your device. To delete the iCloud backup, go to iPhone Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Čmáranice.
Children
The app collects no personal data and shows no ads. You can only meet strangers in the big crew Čmáranice official, and only through drawings and stamps – no comments or messages can be written there. Nobody joins the big crew automatically; you have to join yourself.
